North Salop Wheelers

• This bus operates in the corridor between Wem and Whitchurch on a Friday.
• On Wednesdays to Market Drayton via Higher Heath
• On Thursdays Whitchurch, Hanmer, (connection to Wrexham), Bettisfield, Wem and Shrewsbury.
A minibus can be booked outside the above published times.
Our Sociable Car is available 7 days per week for individuals.
We specialise in Transport for people who use Wheelchairs. All journeys need to be pre-booked . Voluntary help needed

Dial-a-Ride
• Fully accessible minibuses
• For anyone who has a transport need and cannot access more conventional transport
• Medical appointments, shopping or social visits
• Monday to Friday 10am-3pm.
Community Cars
• For longer journeys, volunteer drivers offer their vehicle and time
• Fares are based on a mileage rate
Shopmobility
• Wheelchair and mobility scooter loan service
• Retail sales of disability equipment

Shrewsbury Dial-a-Ride

Logo for Shrewsbury Dial-a-Ride(Shrewsbury Community Transport Initiative Ltd) is a non profit making company, providing fully accessible passenger transport within a ten mile radius of Shrewsbury town centre.

• Fully accessible minibuses and door-to-door assisted service
• Operates Mon – Fri, 8.45am – 4.00 pm
• Journey bookings taken from 48hrs in advance
• Concessionary travel passes accepted
• Priority booking service for medical appointments and wheelchair passengers who are unable to transfer
• Community Cars for the Shrewsbury area
• Weekend trips & Sunday Lunch Club
• Group Hire facility (driver supplied)
• All volunteer drivers and passenger escorts receive accredited training
• Training provider, with an extensive programme of courses designed with the community, voluntary and care sectors in mind

Shropshire Wheels to Work Scheme

Logo for Community Council of ShropshireThe Shropshire Wheels to Work Scheme is run by the Community Council of Shropshire. The scheme aims to help people improve access to employment and job-related training through a range of transport options

• Public and Community transport information
• Moped loans
• Subsidised driving lessons
• Bicycle loans
• Small grants
TO BE ELIGIBLE for assistance individuals must meet the following criteria
• Be a Shropshire resident (excluding Telford & Wrekin)
• Be unable to afford own transport solution.
• Be unable to access employment or work-related training due to lack of transport. Or be at risk of losing employment due to lack of suitable transport.
• Be of working age.
